Storm Floris will bring gale to severe gale winds across the area, and perhaps storm force gusts. In addition periods of occasionally heavy rain during the morning, turning showery for the afternoon. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Tonight:
Storm Floris clearing north from Scotland, easing the very strong winds with the last of the gales leaving during the evening. Showers more frequent in the west. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
Tuesday:
Brisk west to northwest winds bringing showers and brighter spells across the area, with outbreaks heavier and more frequent during the morning. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Wednesday largely dry with best of sunshine and temperatures in east. Showers and brighter spells brought on brisk southwest winds for Thursday. Showers or longer periods of rain for Friday.
