Patchy cloud with sunny spells this evening and clear spells overnight. Many inland places will remain dry while scattered showers are likely to arrive across coastal areas. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Sunday:

Feeling noticeably cooler everywhere, with often large amounts of cloud but also sunny intervals. Scattered showers will continue along the coast, with isolated showers possibly reaching some inland areas. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mainly dry with light winds and sunny spells. Still feeling much cooler than recent days, although temperatures gradually slightly recover. Chilly nights, with ground frost and perhaps localised air frost.

Overall, high pressure is expected to dominate bringing largely fine and dry conditions. Cloud amounts will be quiet variable, but some decent clear and sunny spells are likely. Northern and western areas are most likely to be the sunniest at first, with central and southeastern areas perhaps cloudier at times. Also cloudier at times across northern Scotland with perhaps some light rain. There is also a chance, albeit low, of showers developing across southern parts of England and Wales at times, especially from next weekend onwards. Temperatures are likely to be a little above normal, feeling pleasantly warm in the sunnier locations. Still rather chilly at night, with potential for ground frost at times in rural areas.

Fairly typical spring weather is considered most likely through the second half of May. Overall, fine and dry weather is more likely to dominate although this will be interspersed with occasional spells of rain and showers, with a risk of heavy rain and thunderstorms in places. Overall, temperatures will most likely be near or slightly above average.
