This Evening and Tonight:

Clear spells and showers during the evening with outbreaks increasingly becoming confined to western and western Isles and coasts. Fresh southwest winds easing light inland. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Sunday:

Good brighter spells between a few scattered light showers by day. Rain feeding from the west from evening. Southwest winds occasionally fresh across western coasts and Isles. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday cloudy with occasional rain, heavy at times in the west. Warm for Tuesday with brighter spells and a few isolated showers. Wednesday warm, mainly dry with bright spells.

A changeable pattern at first with spells showers, which may be locally heavy and perhaps thundery, but there will be drier interludes. Showers will tend to ease through the early part of the period as high pressure builds. Much of England could still see warm or very warm temperatures for at least a couple of days and there is a possibility that the heat could last further into the week, especially in the south. Beyond this high pressure will likely continue to build from the Atlantic leading to plenty of fine weather with perhaps the odd heavy shower or thunderstorm. Meanwhile a rather more changeable and breezier theme will continue further to the north but it may become increasingly settled. Temperatures will probably continue to be above normal.

High pressure, and therefore largely settled conditions overall, appears more likely at first. Although dry weather is likely to dominate, periods of rain or showers and thunderstorms may develop at times. Above average temperatures overall seem most likely, with the potential for further hot spells to develop, especially in the east and south. By the turn of the month, there are signals for high pressure to become less dominant with perhaps a greater chance of some rain, though there is some uncertainty in this aspect of the forecast.
